Welcome to my blog. I want to have the very best vacation that I can have when I visit Spokane Washington. How can you help, you ask? Please read on and add to my blog as you see fit.
Have you ever been there or to another state that is close by?
Please help me by telling all the awesome sites and activities to do in Spokane, anywhere around the state or surrounding states.
If you had the time, would you drive to Washington?
At the end of this assignment, I will add more exciting places to go as well, so make sure you log back in by June 31st. You may want to visit up there, too, after hearing about all the fun things to do.
There is a lot to do in the Spokane-Seattle area, plus I am going to dip my toes in the North Pacific Ocean, and drive to the Yellowstone national forest. Thanks for all of your comments. Pictures of the trip will be posted after the trip! Happy Summer!

Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteFirst, I am so happy that you are able to take a vacation to the west coast this summer! I know that you must be looking forward to it. When I was younger, I think the summer after 4th grade, my family and I went on a road trip across the country to Yellowstone National Park. I wouldn't change anything about our trip. It was such a memorable experience. Yes, it did take two full days to get there, but the trip was half the fun. We were able to stop a few times along the way, but our main focus was getting to Yellowstone. If it is possible I highly recommend going to Yellowstone if it is possible, or going on your way there. I just looked up the distance and Spokane and Yellowstone are about 8 hours from each other if you are traveling by car. If you were to drive, which I think that may be an option for you guys still, then it may very well be on the way! :) So, if I had a say so I would tell you to drive and make the detour (if there is any.. it may be on the way) and go to Yellowstone! I would love to go back some day!
Enjoy your trip, and prayers for safe travels!
Yellowstone it is! Thanks Elizabeth.
DeleteThat sounds like a really fun and exciting trip. I have never been that far west, but hope to one day. I can't recommend any sites or attractions, but I do think driving would be fun. It's always interesting to stop by hole-in-the-wall eating places and different roadside stores. Also, if you have have time, you can stop and take pictures every time you cross into a different state. I look forward to seeing about all of your adventures.

I do love to eat at hole in the wall places. Thanks JSullivan!
DeleteI have neve been that far up the west coast. Our family visited San Francisco and then drove as far as Sonoma up the coast of California, it was just amazing! It all so different and beautiful in that part of the country. We flew, but that left us with lots of time to drive and see more of that area. Hope you enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the time to drive up to Washington. For this trip I will only have one week. I would rather have at least three weeks to be able to drive. I am sure there will be so many states and beautiful countrysides to see, when we drive. Maybe next summer.
DeleteElizabeth, I have been to California, but never to Washington. Of course, like you, if we time wasn't an issue, I would make a road trip of it stopping along the way to see other sites in other states along the way. Depending on how much time you have to "play" you may want to check out a road trip travel map or an app for the state of Washington and see where it leads you. Definitely post pictures and let us know what all you end up getting to do. Have fun and be safe!
